Ty Coch Pub - Porthdinllaen
Porth Dinllaen is about 15mins drive from our self-catering farmhouse and barn conversion here at Cae Garw on the Llyn Peninsula, North Wales - and extremely popular beach on the Lleyn Peninsula - with a traditional pub - Ty Coch Inn - right on the water's edge. Owned by the National Trust, Porth Dinllaen - together with Nefyn and Morfa Nefyn form a magnificent 2 miles of sweeping bay .
Nefyn Golf Course

Access to the pub is via foot by parking either at the National Trust car park at the bottom of Golf Road, Morfa Nefyn or in the Nefyn Golf Club car park itself. The beach is about a 20 minute walk across the golf course.

Ty Coch Inn - Llyn Peninsula
Ty Coch pub has been named the "third best beach bar in the world" ( Summer 2013) - it has also been featured on the TV series "Great Pubs of Wales".(Please check opening times - even in summer ! )
The inn is a wonderful traditional bar where the old beams are covered in a mini-museum of vintage jugs, mugs and bottles, and maritime memories. During 2005, this 18th Century fishing village was used as a filming location for the film " Half Light" starring Demi Moore.
Pordinllaen NT Beach
An easy circular walk is to go along the beach to Morfa Nefyn, along the headland then onto the Nefyn golf course and down to the Lifeboat Station at Porth Dinllaen.

Seafood catches - such as whelks - are regularly caught here - and transported by tractor across the beach .
The National Trust exhibition ( open daily through the summer) describes how people have made a living in the small, seaside village over the last 200 years.

Porthdinllaen Lifeboat Station

The recently built Lifeboat Station houses the new Tamar Class Lifeboat - RNLB John D Spicer .Usually during the summer, various open days allow you to meet the crew and cox, who host a beach BBQ every August.
